What is 96three FM?
96three FM is an incorporated, non-profit, non-denominational Christian community radio station that broadcasts from a high-powered signal. This signal enables the station to cover a large audience which includes the City of Greater Geelong, the Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula, regions extending to Colac, Ballarat and Bendigo, and of course, much of Melbourne.
With over 1100 active supporters, 96three FM is governed by a Board of Management, and has a staff of approximately 20, both paid and volunteer, who undertake the daily task of broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
From the beginning, our mission has been to “broadcast the reality of life in Jesus Christ”. This is being achieved by a well-balanced blend of teaching programs and a playlist of 100% Christian music.
The aim for 96three FM is to ‘change lives’ by broadcasting hope and encouragement to those with needs in our community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Radio knows no boundaries. It enters prisons, hospitals, cars, homes and wherever human needs are present. We aim to provide a station that positively reinforces individual worth and builds up the family unit based on sound moral and Biblical guidelines.
