Our ‘Big Picture in Sport’ anchor, Wes is a passionate sports commentator who first hit the airwaves with 96Three (then Rhema FM), broadcasting out of a refurbished Lovely Banks cowshed in the early 1990s.
The fact that he’d never met a microphone that he didn’t like, coupled with his experience as a physical education teacher, meant the transition to a career in radio and television sports journalism came rather naturally.
Excited by the joys, challenges and positive life lessons that sport can produce, Wes has always relished shining a light on our community members involved in athletic pursuits whether they be from the grassroots or the grand arenas of the elite level.
