DJ Paine – or “Your Old Mate™️” – is an award-winning radio bloke who makes faith, music, and everyday life feel like a catch-up with that mate who leaves you thinking and laughing.
With a big heart, a bigger Christian-music brain, and an almost dangerous ability to turn an everyday trip to the local servo into an epic adventure tale, DJ brings sharp wit, deep-cut music knowledge, and the occasional biblical rabbit trail that somehow nearly always lands where it needed to go.
A professional photographer and videographer for over 30 years, DJ sees the world a little differently – always looking for the light – both professionally and spiritually. He’s also one of the most passionate champions around for Jesus-loving creatives of every shape and discipline.
Off-mic, he’s a devoted husband to Geelong native Benita (the far more sensible half of the 25 year marriage) and dad to three young legends collectively known as the Brothers Paine.
