Australian born inspirational speaker Nick Vujicic takes us through his journey of faith, of growing up in a Christian home but suffering huge doubts that a God who loved us would allow him to go through life with no arms and no legs
“Growing in church, you know every Sunday singing that song ‘Jesus Loves Me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.’ To believe that God loves us requires a lot of faith, because I had a lot of questions. If God loved me, then why did He let me be born this way? If God can do all miracles and anything that I ask He can do it, then why doesn’t he give me arms and legs?”
At age 15, Nick finally found the answers he was searching for – in God’s living word, the Bible. Reading about the blind man in John 9 was an answer to Nick’s prayers. “A man was born with a disability that no one could explain. And that sort of sounded familiar to me,” Nick smiles in the above video. “People asked Jesus, why was this man born blind? And Jesus said, it was done so that the works of God would be revealed through him. And faith came over me….”
Nick, through his story of faith and positive outlook on life despite harrowing odds, now inspires people the world over and brings them closer to understanding and accepting God’s love. God also granted other miracles in Nick’s life he never thought possible – marrying his wife Kanae in 2012 and now raising two sons.
“If God can use a man without arms and legs to be His hands and feet, there is not one person watching this video that God can’t use their broken pieces too.”
